Why breathing is so important

Respiration is essential

You need to breathe the fresh air all the time. It is essential to your survival. You can live without food for a few weeks. Many people do one act freely of themselves to refrain from food, called fasting. You can also survive without water for a few days (which is not so good for you). But without fresh air you will die after a few minutes, or at least your brain will suffer serious harm. The reason is that the body, especially in the brain, is in need of huge amounts of oxygen to the function. And in addition the body has no mechanisms to store oxygen.

The oxygen in the air is therefore absolutely necessary to your life. Fresh air is the energy of life. You breathe to provide your body with new energy. And you exhale to release your body of carbon dioxide.

Fortunately we will usually need to pay attention to our breathing as it works completely automatically.

Breathing under pressure

If you are under the pressure of your natural breathing changes. In the response "fight or flight", you breathe faster, so deep step. Or you can have the feeling not step to breathe at all. If that happens, sometimes, there is no need to worry. It is a reaction all natural body.

But it is far too common in our modern world to have levels of stress high over a long period of time. If your body know these changes in respiration often enough. Therefore, supply your body with the fresh air will be slightly lower than necessary. The following are the symptoms of typical stress such as muscle tension, headaches, of problems falling asleep or with depression.

Breathing to relax

Fortunately, your breathing is a body of the function that you can easily control. And it is therefore easier to calm and relax, you might think. Simply find the time to make the following easy exercise:

Just sit.Close your eyes.Watch your breath in and out of the body stream.Attention to the where you feel the breathing. Can you feel the blow your nose like the nose air stream? Can you feel your chest or belly move along you breathe and drink?Just watch your breath flow and get out and do nothing else for at least 3 minutes. This easy exercise helps you to calm down and relax in a short period of time.

Another easy method to calm down fast is the seven-eleven breathing.
