We all know that feeling: this strong desire for something you hit afternoon after a day of stress at work or at home or are you wake up at night and executed in the refrigerator, the search for a cookie, cream ice or even a glass of sweet milk... You did not invent it. This is true in your mind and your physical body... it is called a dependency...

The dependence of sugar begins at birth. Breast milk is very sweet, even children are beginning to recognize the pleasant feeling, they get sugary foods. But once the body has experienced sugar sweet rewards, it does not much time to make it officially addicted. Now, what is the cause? After eating something sweet, the brain releases natural chemicals called opioids (is not ring a Bell?), which give body to a feeling of pleasure. Then the brain recognizes this sense and starts to crave more. Researchers have identified that there are certain areas of the brain (specifically, the hippocampus, the insula and the caudate nucleus) that are activated when it aspires to sugar. There are also scientific evidence showing that these same areas of the brain are activated when drug addicts have thirst for drugs; which proves how "true" sugar addictions can be. But what actually happens in your body when you eat sugar?

After sugar enters the bloodstream, the blood sugar rise, causing the pancreas to release insulin , which is needed to convert sugar into energy... Insulin converts sugar into a source of instant energy, which explains the twitch, you get a donut or a chocolate bar. After publication of levels high insulin, blood sugar begins to decrease rapidly, resulting in the "crash" you feel shortly after eating food containing a high level of sugar, insulin also stimulate fat storage when not too much energy will be used immediately after. So if you eat lots of sugar and you don't exercise immediately after... you are on track to take weight... and will be bold and not valuable muscle!, sugar was also associated with several "diseases, increased mood swings, depressive immune system and diabetes."

Recent studies show that opioids in your brain stimulated sugar are similar to chemical products stimulated by the use of heroin and morphine... quite frightening? The same studies show that sugar also active areas of the brain that reinforce behaviour. This means that, as the heroin addiction, your body very soon learns to want more of the substance that allows for is feeling better and you feel a genuine "need" it. To prove it..., is it enough to say that scans of the brain in humans have shown that the view of ice cream in the generated normal patients the same feelings of pleasure in the brain as images of crack pipes made to crack addicts? Even once... very afraid.

Consider now that the average American consumes about 160 pounds of sugar each year. This is not surprising when one considers that sugar is in all areas of salad sauce ketchup and soup, canned meat deli that sugar can be embedded in many products under several pseudonyms. Common names for the sugar may include sucrose, fructose, dextroseand the corn syrup high fructose content, of which none did indeed sound like the word "sugar", but essentially mean the same thing.Today, there is an ongoing campaign against the corn syrup high fructose content, but if replace you it with fructose to dextrose, you will have the same result... Better read label together prior to trust to the expression "No high-fructose corn syrup" put in evidence in a large number of products. Even if you have a single (non-diet) soda can regular (not King size), you consume almost 10 teaspoons of sugar, which is about, the maximum recommended daily allowance.Sugar does not your body anything but a quick boost of energy and a lot of consequences.

Finally a good news: your body needs only 72 hours to get read of la toxicomanie (as most of the drugs)... Thus, when you start a diet diet seriously, you can expect the first 3 days to really be because your body will fight to keep his sense of fun, but after it remains... especially mental!
