Why breathing is so important

Respiration is essential

You need to breathe the fresh air all the time. It is essential to your survival. You can live without food for a few weeks. Many people do one act freely of themselves to refrain from food, called fasting. You can also survive without water for a few days (which is not so good for you). But without fresh air you will die after a few minutes, or at least your brain will suffer serious harm. The reason is that the body, especially in the brain, is in need of huge amounts of oxygen to the function. And in addition the body has no mechanisms to store oxygen.

The oxygen in the air is therefore absolutely necessary to your life. Fresh air is the energy of life. You breathe to provide your body with new energy. And you exhale to release your body of carbon dioxide.

Fortunately we will usually need to pay attention to our breathing as it works completely automatically.

Breathing under pressure

If you are under the pressure of your natural breathing changes. In the response "fight or flight", you breathe faster, so deep step. Or you can have the feeling not step to breathe at all. If that happens, sometimes, there is no need to worry. It is a reaction all natural body.

But it is far too common in our modern world to have levels of stress high over a long period of time. If your body know these changes in respiration often enough. Therefore, supply your body with the fresh air will be slightly lower than necessary. The following are the symptoms of typical stress such as muscle tension, headaches, of problems falling asleep or with depression.

Breathing to relax

Fortunately, your breathing is a body of the function that you can easily control. And it is therefore easier to calm and relax, you might think. Simply find the time to make the following easy exercise:

Just sit.Close your eyes.Watch your breath in and out of the body stream.Attention to the where you feel the breathing. Can you feel the blow your nose like the nose air stream? Can you feel your chest or belly move along you breathe and drink?Just watch your breath flow and get out and do nothing else for at least 3 minutes. This easy exercise helps you to calm down and relax in a short period of time.

Another easy method to calm down fast is the seven-eleven breathing.

Chiropractic and breathing care yourself to a healthier lifestyle

Breathing is one of the most fundamental tasks that we perform every day without thinking. Yet, when we stop and focus on our breath, we find that we can use it in a positive way to help achieve an objective. Think of Lamaze classes for pregnant women. Practical strategic breathing help them through labor and delivery without the need of drugs or epidural anaesthesia. Or think about méditatives and respiratory martial arts which can release large amounts of stress or produce immense energy. Proper breathing techniques are firmly rooted in these philosophies. Singers certainly know the importance of the proper method of belt of a melody, but what of all the days of breathing for the general health of breathing techniques?

Chiropractors, doctors of chiropractic, regularly treat patients with chronic pain and dysfunction associated with signs of difficulty breathing. Matter of fact one of the first signs that many chiropractors see patients with chronic back or neck pain is bad breath. Bad breath and bad posture can cause or contribute to chronic back and pain in the neck. Bad breathing is shallow and and uses only the chest diaphragm, low deep muscles in the abdomen. This not only limit your intake of oxygen, but also puts additional stress on the smallest muscles in your upper body to do the work that the diaphragm must be done. Think your traps muscles or muscles of the anterior neck muscles in your neck and shoulders and then becomes tense and tired, because they are not designed to breathe every day, contribute to a continuous cycle of bad posture and chronic pain.

Then, how do breathe you properly? In simple terms, you use your diaphragm, the muscle between your lungs and abdomen. Here is a basic test to determine if you are breathing correctly. Lie on your back on the floor or on your bed. Place one hand on your chest and one hand on your stomach. Breathe deeply. A your stomach to move? If Yes, great! You use your diaphragm for regular breaths. If your stomach is gone, this means that you primarily use the muscles "assistance" in the upper part of the body to breathe.

Put the burden on the muscles of assistance increases your risk of muscle fatigue, stiffness and pain. Chronic poor breathing can cause core of your body (abdomen, back and hips) to become unbalanced. When this occurs, other health problems can follow (headaches, digestive problems, fertility challenges, tension, headaches and more).

Chiropractors know that a strong core is necessary for a balanced and healthy life and helps to prevent injuries, pain and dysfunction. Learning of proper breathing techniques is essential to maintain a healthy basis and the healthy body. Most people are surprised to learn how important technical appropriate breathing are to their general State of health and are even more surprised to learn that they were not breathing as effectively as they could be.

Learning of proper breathing techniques is empowering and help you increase your energy levels and reduce tensions. To get started on your way to proper breathing and a sound base, consult a chiropractor for a review of wellness. An initial examination a chiropractor can assess your breathing and determine if there is any variance in your body alignment, symmetry, the range of motion and mobility. Committing to chiropractic will help restore the balance in your body and improve your quality of life!
